Judy Jones. An Official Democratic Candidate For Member Of The State Assembly. 73rd District

Small Business

Since Paul Revere small businesses have been the backbone of American life. Today nearly 70% of the new jobs being generated come from businesses with less than 10 employees.

Judy believes this is the future of the American way – that like government, small groups working together are able to solve problems more effectively. Our district is a hotbed for small entrepreneurial companies that are developing new technologies in science, health care, tourism, food and sports products that will build a stronger, cleaner, more resilient economy for our community.

Judy's support of small businesses includes the following:

  • Create an atmosphere of free enterprise, creative innovation, prosperity and secure jobs.
  • Reduce worker compensation rates and increase incentives for businesses to incorporate and invest in the State of California.
  • Create incentives for those innovators in the alternative fuel field with an emphasis on creating environmentally sound jobs.
  • Implement a health care tax credit for small businesses.
  • Ensure that all government projects be contracted with businesses operating in the immediate area of the project to better support the local job market and economy.
  • Streamline the paperwork and regulations that are disproportionately large for small businesses
  • Promote low interest rate loans to small businesses for the purpose of launching a new business or expanding an existing one.
