Veterans

Those who have sacrificed for their country in the military service deserve better treatment than they are being given. Cheering our soldiers is not enough - we must put our money where our mouth is if we truly support our troops. Truman and Eisenhower, two solid American presidents, understood the importance of military sacrifice and implemented the GI Bill of Rights that sent millions of veterans to college after WWII. Bob Dole and Daniel Inouye a Republican and a Democrat were both critically wounded during their tours of duty. Both were able to receive state-of-the-art medical treatments and extended rehabilitation to bring them back to full health. Both then went on to a free college education and became U.S. Senators. America’s greatest generation took care of their men in uniform. We can too.

Judy will strive to do the following for our veterans in California:

• Provide the most advanced mental and physical medical care available to all injured California veterans.
• Improve the access, such as free transportation services, to VA offices in order to provide readily available information and support to all California veterans and their families.
• Support access to education such as the GI bill.
